.MOVING OFF & STOPPING

In the above clip you will see how observations are done

To move off using the routine P.O.M

• Prepare

1.  Clutch down, Select gear
2.  set gas, raise clutch to "Bite" keep feet still.

• Observe

1. Check Mirrors and blind areas if its safe to move.
2. . Is a signal necessary

• Manoeuvre

1.  Release parking brake
2.  Slowly raise the clutch, car moves forward, steer to a safe road position
3.  Re-check Mirrors, look well ahead.​

Stopping using M.S.M

• Look well ahead for a: 
• safe ( not close to junctions, bends)
• legal (signs, markings)
• Convenient location

Mirrors

1. check for traffic/ cyclists

Signal

1. Signal if necessary (Pedestrians, Vehicles)

Manoeuvre

1. Off gas, brake progressively
2. steer close to kerb
3. clutch down, brake to stop
4. parking brake on, select neutral
5. cancel signal, relax feet
